The programme gives spectators information on the teams playing, the times of the matches and information of other family friendly activities that were going to happen. In keeping with the refreshed look of Polo, I decided the old programme looked too corporate and formal.
A simple newspaper style paper was the way forward, printed on 160gsm uncoated stock. Dropping the name "Programme" for "Journal", written editorial on Sponsors rather than adverts, for example "Summer Tipples" a piece on summer drinks focusing on our team sponsor Chase Vodka, Write-ups on players, the style that the paper was designed; all to help soften the style of the programme.
We kept the costs down so we could hand out the Polo Journal out free of charge rather than charging for it like previous events.
